Hardly a day goes by without a mention of one of three topics: the shortage of skilled labour, saying goodbye to the baby boomers and the expectations of the younger generation. All three are often mentioned in completely different contexts. In addition, there are repeated complaints about price pressure, dwindling customer loyalty and a lack of support from the authorities. The situation is not getting any better, on the contrary. What is going wrong? As the dependencies are very often not recognised, all attempts at improvement remain ineffective.
