It is now clear that our future energy supply will be based on, if not fully renewable, at least low-carbon energy sources. Many suppliers of the respective technologies have understood this. They are therefore campaigning intensively to position their technology as the one for the future. Big plans are being forged and equally big promises are being made. Is all this a lasting reality? In this contribution, we will try to provide a realistic answer to these questions and, using Switzerland as an example, for what the supply could look like. I wish you an entertaining read.
